At what age did you start playing soccer? I began playing soccer when I was four years old.
At what age did you become a GK? Tough to say for sure, but I think I was playing in goal - at least, some of the time - by the age of seven or eight.
What is your favorite soccer memory? I am not sure I can pick a favorite from a lifetime of great memories, but earning my first MLS win is definitely a fond memory.
Who is your favorite GK to watch/emulate? When I was growing up, Edwin van der Sar was the GK I loved to watch on TV. Now, I don't really have a favorite but I watch all of the best GKs in the world and try to learn as much as I can from them.
What is your favorite HPG glove and why? My favorite HPG glove is the Guardian. I wear them in games, as well as training, because of their snug fit and durability.
Why did you join the HPG glove family? I joined the HPG glove family because of Buschy. I will always be grateful for the welcome he gave me as a rookie GK on an opposing team. The GK union is filled with a bunch of quality guys and Buschy is up at the top.
One piece of advice you would give a young Gk wanting to become a pro? Work hard everyday and persevere. I say this as a GK who made his MLS debut at the age of 30: opportunities come to those who are patient and work hard day in and day out.
