Clarke has been a goalkeeper for over 30 years, playing in high school, college, and club soccer in Milwaukee for the Milwaukee Rampage and Polonia FC.

Since 1999 he has been coaching club and high school levels out of Grand Rapids, MI. He started Camp Shutout West Michigan in 2009 and continues to coach the Caledonia High School girls soccer goalkeepers.
